  We have been talking about going pumpkin picking since The Holiday Stone was released, some eight years ago, and we finally made it! After many (many) years, moving to New Jersey and our friends having babies, we mustered up the scheduling ability, and carved out the time, to go nab some gourds.

• A Mini Adventure in Portland Maine

  

  I recently took a trip to Portland ME, and discovered more than a quaintfishing town with lively waters and cobbled streets. I found the best lobster roll of my life. It was a perfect balance of crispy, buttery and chewy all bundled into one softly grilled hero. Perfection.
